The estimated budget for this film was £5,000,000. This is a very small budget compared with the big blockbuster films that are made like the dark knight. They didn't use a lot of money because they had to make other films at a time. British Films don't need to have a lot of money unlike Hollywood films which are the biggest in the film industry.
Locations:
Some of the filming was filmed in Belfast, County Antrim, Northern Ireland and UK. Even though it was supposed to be set in New York he did a lot of filming in Ireland, this gave them more money to spend on other things such as the casting and the marketing of the film. Also because it would of taken a lot of money to get all the cameras to America and back again.
Special Effects:
Used special effects for the fake blood, gore and dead bodies that come with the film because it is a psychological thriller. They budget went in with this, it didnt need a lot because there is not many scenes with blood and gore in it but they do have a lot of bodies that had to be made. They also used it for the guns because they are cops.
