Poster to Waz!

This poster says a lot about the film. It shows that this women is a victim in a way because of the cuts on her face they are really noticeable because the red stands out on her face and the black background. We can also tell she can be a victim because of the tears in her eyes. She is very mysterious aswell because we only see half her face showing to use that she could be hiding the other half. But we can also differ that this is the main character because she is the only person on the poster showing she is important to the narrative of the movie. The movie title is in bold red to show blood and to attract the type of audience that like thrillers or horrors they generally use dark strong colours especially black and red to represent evil and death. The unique selling point is the mainly the red colour of the title of the movie to show it could be for people who is interested in either thrillers or horror movies.

Spreading the word

The film was marketed by the trailer putting it on the TV and reviews in film magazines. There was a mixed review of the film some people said that it was a really good film and other people said it was really bad, because they thought it was just a movie like "Se7en" a movie made in america which has the same kind of feel to it.

Marketing:

This film wasn't made for the big mainstream cinema. It was made for the audience that liked thrillers and an independent films. A magazine called Total Film gave them a review, they chose to allow them to review the movie because it is one of the biggest film magazines out there, so people who like "Total film" will see the movie and might go and see it. They gave it 3 stars saying "A bit of a mish-mash then, shot in a murky half-light that suggests someone wiped the lens with an oily rag. Still, bring a strong stomach and you'll find more than enough to justify the ticket price."

"Empire Film," also gave a review of the movie, for the same reason of "Total film" magazine the distributions of WAZ decided to get their film reviewed, so that more people can find out about the film watch it and buy it on DVD. The "Empire" gave WAZ 4 stars more than "Total film" and said that "If you've got the stomach for strong scenes of torture, and the heart to take part in an uncomfortable debate about human nature, this intelligent horror is well worth your time."

W Delta Z

Genre:
This is a psychological thriller. They have done horror movies such as The Children, Doghouse, Shrooms and Outpost. Which are similar to Waz but a different hybrid. It doesn't have a lot of horrors or thrillers but when they come out they do get a particular audience that comes to watch it.
